About

Hi, thanks for stopping by The Finger-Painted Pages!

I'm Stacey and I started this blog to connect with and hopefully help other parents and caregivers of preschoolers.

I'm fortunate enough to be able to stay home with my 3-year-old daughter Ava, and I love doing so, but I started to worry that she was missing out on the preschool experience. While I can't replicate all aspects of that experience, I try to as much as possible.

On The Finger-Painted Pages you'll find all kinds of activities and projects from art to science, small and large motor skills, math, and our favorite, dramatic play. I incorporate these activities into a weekly theme like Easter and colors.

This guy is my husband, Jack. Since he’s not a preschooler you probably won't see him too often - but he pops up every once in awhile like when we colored Easter eggs.

Here are the real stars of the show! That guy is Riley, he's 10 and in the fourth grade, so unfortunately he's not around a whole lot when we're doing our preschool activities, but there are the occasional days off from school, and of course, summer break.

And that little lady is Ava - she's the one who constantly has a camera shoved in her face - it's okay, she's used to it, doesn't even notice anymore.
